ASIRVATHAM Exhibition:

Unveiling Inspiring Caregivers’ Stories

The name ASIRVATHAM, which means “blessings,” reflects the heart of this exhibition. It symbolises the profound blessings shared within families caring for loved ones with autism. While caregivers devote themselves tirelessly with unconditional love, patience, and sacrifice, their children also bring immeasurable blessings—teaching resilience, compassion, and the true meaning of humanity.

These children remind us of the importance of empathy, acceptance, and inclusive support within society. ASIRVATHAM is a call for all of us to extend our blessings by embracing, supporting, and celebrating individuals with autism and disabilities, so that we can build a more compassionate and inclusive community.

Exhibition Aim

This exhibition seeks to honour the often unseen journeys of caregivers and shine a light on their struggles, sacrifices, and unwavering dedication to their loved ones with autism. Through powerful portraits and personal stories of ten caregivers—five mothers, three fathers, one grandmother, and one sister—we hope to raise greater awareness and understanding within the community.

More than an art exhibition, ASIRVATHAM is a tribute to the strength of caregivers, giving voice to their emotional journeys while advocating for greater support, recognition, and well-being for caregivers and their families.
